Marketing Manager – B2B, M&A, corporate finance, professional services
Results, the leading corporate finance boutique advisor to the technology and healthcare sectors, has a rare opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the team.
Growth over the last five years has seen the business grow to 40 people in London with a further team in New York. The deals we advise on, to both entrepreneurs, corporates and private equity have increased exponentially in terms of both value and volume and most recently our brand refresh & website re-development has created an extraordinary opportunity to take our marketing to the next stage.
Excitingly, this is a stand-alone role, part of Corporate Solutions but working closely with the Partner group and the whole team to achieve the next period of growth and market awareness. Working with a group of partner agencies to support the marketing drive you’ll be responsible for planning and executing all marketing budgets and activities, a large part of which will be driven by your ideas on how to continue to deliver stronger impact.
Active across most forms of marketing your plan is likely to comprise events; anything from round table dinners and webinars to breakfast briefings and Partner speaking engagements, digital presence and communication to both ‘one and many’, content production and delivery, brand management and how we present to the outside world, including influencers, existing clients and of course both potential clients and team members.
To make this a good match for both sides you’ll be an experienced marketeer, with several years of evidenced marketing success in a business-to-business environment. Any experience of marketing M&A is ideal but similar experience in a professional services business would also be an advantage.
A keenness to understand and immerse yourself in the sectors the business works in is very important, so you can more ably drive editorial content ideas and events. Experience of our sectors would be a bonus but a willingness and interest to learn will be far more important. You’ll certainly have the capacity to work with and influence team members, be unfailingly positive, calm under pressure, with a good speed of operation as well as good attention to detail.
Results offers a unique culture in the world of corporate finance – our current incumbent is reluctantly leaving after seven years and many others stay much longer than the industry average. The team enjoys coming to work every day as well as socialising together (we’re already looking forward to next year’s ski trip) – it’s all about working together to achieve our goals but if you’ve already read our website you’ll know that.
Along with our exceptional working environment (currently hybrid) we offer a competitive salary, annual bonus, healthcare, pension, sabbaticals, 25 days holiday and a very supportive and friendly team with regular social events the norm.
If this sounds like a great move for you, please drop us a covering note with your CV saying why you would like to join us and what skills you can bring.
Life before Results: My M&A career started as a summer intern at Goldman’s. I then joined them and spent four years as an Analyst and then Associate. The biggest deal I worked on was the Telefonica O2 deal in the early 2000’s. My contribution was taxi’ing all the documents from Partner to Partner for signature […]
Life before Results: I always wanted to work in Finance – I used to watch all the films like Wall St so I managed to get to LSE to study and then into the graduate programme at Bear Stearns, luckily leaving before the bad days. It was a while before I got into the healthcare […]
Life before Results: Being brought up in the Midlands (of the UK) meant I got stuck into every activity going; from ballet and ballroom to every sport you might mention. At school I had more of a knack for the sciences and chose to do a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics. I soon figured the lab […]
Life before Results: Growing up in a little town on the Suffolk and Essex border my favourite activity was dancing – anything from tap to ballet to acro – see later. At school and in life my main interests centred around humanities; people and society so studying Sociology and Anthropology was a great choice for […]
Life before Results: Early years in Huenxe, a small town near Dusseldorf, was followed by a very science focussed academic route. Deciding a lab wasn’t for me though, despite completing my PhD, didn’t take too long and I became increasingly keen on combining science with something more commercial so applied to Results and have never […]
