Results International is delighted to have advised Mubaloo, a leading mobile strategy consultancy & business app developer; enterprise mobility & application development experts on their acquisition by IPG Mediabrands, which is the global media holding Company of Interpublic Group.

SITUATION
Mubaloo is an award winning business developing innovative mobile strategies and intelligent enterprise mobile apps.

Founded in 2009, the business provides business transformation consultancy and the project management, design, integration, development and testing of mobile apps.

The growing emphasis on enterprise mobility has provided opportunities for ambitious businesses like Mubaloo to evolve and to help clients embrace enterprise-wide mobility-led digital transformation.

Led by the founder Mark Mason and the management team of Sarah Weller, Gemma Coles and Sarah Denley, the Company has achieved excellent growth and established itself as one of the UK’s leading providers of mobile consultancy and app development services for large enterprise clients. Clients include SEI, Mitie, Alamy, London’s Air Ambulance, Equiniti, Aviva, Eircom & B&O.

OPPORTUNITY
Management decided that it was the right time to secure the most effective strategic partner to help leverage their bespoke digital transformation model and respected position in the marketplace to accelerate growth.

Results International was appointed to examine the best possible outcome for the Company, from both a strategic and valuation perspective.

With a loyal and growing client base, and an excellent reputation for technical delivery and strategic thinking, Mubaloo received significant interest from a number of strategic partners, looking to build and enhance their mobile capabilities.

OUTCOME
Results leveraged its sector knowledge and network to ensure that the Company was engaging with the most relevant strategic partners, including new entrants to the market.

After deliberation, the founders decided to proceed with IPG Mediabrands, which is the global media holding Company of Interpublic Group.

As IPG Mediabrands looks to build a global mobile unit it will be able to apply Mubaloo’s existing capabilities to its core business and accelerate penetration into other areas of mobile marketing. Ultimately, the additional expertise in mobile strategy, digital transformation and apps will also help to drive media and content convergence across the business.

Results worked closely with management to secure the best possible offer with their preferred partner and preserve value through the deal process through to a successful conclusion.
