- Service: M&A
- Sector: Technology
- Sub Sector: Technology Services
- Engagement Type: Sell Side

Headquartered in Paris, France, QuantHouse is the global leader in end-to-end systematic trading solutions.
SITUATION
Founded by a group of managers, IT experts and quant traders coming from the hedge fund community, QuantHouse established itself as the high growth/high value provider of Ultra Low Latency data technology in the financial markets space.
QuantHouse has built a global presence, services over 100 financial institutions around the world, and successfully competes against the large incumbent market data and trading solution providers such as Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg.
OPPORTUNITY
After a capital raise designed to accelerate the global roll-out of the product line, QuantHouse founders recognized that a partnership with a content-rich strategic player would create a unique combination in a market dominated by legacy technological offerings.
GroupArgent identified S&P Capital IQ as the partner with the highest potential for value creation, since synergies could be expected and shared across many product lines, technological platforms, and sales networks.
OUTCOME
GroupArgent provided strategic M&A expertise aimed at maximizing value for QuantHouse shareholders. GroupArgent ran a very focused cross-border process designed to maximize the chances of a successful outcome while minimizing disruption to the business.
Our multi-cultural and multi-lingual capabilities allowed us to manage the transaction process across New York, Paris and London, bridge the cultural and transactional differences between an entrepreneurial growth European business and an American blue chip, and operate seamlessly across time zones.
Through GroupArgent’s model of deep sector expertise and broad network, we achieved to complete the transaction with financial metrics reflecting the quality of the company, the prospect of continuing growth in a rapidly changing market, and the value of the synergies we identified with the acquirer.
The transaction generated significant absolute returns for the main VC shareholder and almost 100% IRR for its Limited Partners.
As indicated 18 months ago, QuantHouse has established a strong presence across several major financial centres, which now includes Asia for the first time.
