Deal activity for Q1 2022 has increased 30% over the previous quarter, to a total of 237 transactions. Transactions have mainly focused on strategic tuck-ins that are centred around acquiring next-gen and nearshore capabilities, such as robotic process automation, customer experience consultancy and influencer-based social media marketing.

Even in the current macro environment, March showed early signs of market recovery. On the back of a wave of digital transformation to virtual operating environments and next-gen technology, IT / Consulting Services (12.1x) and Data Service Providers (15.9x) continue to trade at strong double-digit EBITDA multiples on public markets.

In our Global Technology Market Review, we analyse valuations, M&A activity and broader trends in the key technology markets of enterprise software, technology services and cybersecurity.
